| Okay, so I hear a lot of people say that demos require a lot more skill than soldier..... well I say, they require the same amount of skill. people say all soldier does is spam their primary weapon, well.... demos do that also. I find demo requires less skill for people because they sticky camp, which require more way less skill than soldier. demos can also spam their stickies also, firing them at the enemy, and detonating asap... (which I have been known to do once in a while). pipe bombs don't require any more skill than rockets does, if you are close enough the curve has no effect what so ever of when you shoot it, and you don't have to think when you shoot them half-long ranged for if it's to low, you just aim higher, easy as that. and if you were in an enclosed space or something like a small room firing at the enemy, you wouldn't even have to hit them with the pipe bomb, just have to hit the wall, and wait for it to blow up around their feet. and I have heard someone say "All they(soldiers) need to do is jump around and spam their primary weapon, seldomly considering a reload." " Soldiers barely if ever use their shotgun," .... yea I guess some soldiers do that, if they have like down syndrome or something. most good soldiers I know pull out and use their shot gun right after hitting someone with a rocket, for a direct hit of a rocket does 105-112 damage, which almost has them dead, and the shotgun will quickly, and efficiently, finish them off. I actually get more shotgun kills than rocket kills as soldier, so I don't know what he was thinking. so class lets review what we have learned here. - both classes require the same amount of skill
- soldiers don't just spam rockets.
- demos don't just spam pipe bombs, they also camp their stickies also =P
- all of team fortress 2 doesn't require skill, it's all w+m1 to an extent(had to throw that in there XD)

| didn't really expected to see a fair comparison of the 2 class there. and also... IT'S A PROPAGANDA!!!!! http://www.teamfortress.com/propaganda/submit.phpsome ideas to whom might want to try but lack the ideas, either you picture both sides on your poster, but the one you root for, picture him as a typical pictured good politician (with some children, smiling, some kind of divine light upon him), but for the opposite faction, picture him in some kind of shameful situation for a leader (being arrested, going on a killing rampage of civilians, passed out near some dumps, add some fiery frame, or make it dark, in contrast of the divine light for the other) add some typical politician text at the bottom of the poster describing the situation in which the class is shown Or.. you can show your opposing team were a spy disguised as them (just the paper mask) tells being threatened by the opposite force. at the bottom of the poster you can say stuff like "We never started that war, the (insert class) leader black mailed (or paid) a spy to give his troops a reason to break our thrust and friendship!"

| i agree, they both are fairly even, which makes this pretty neat, although they have very different play styles. Soldier is one of the few classes where running straight at someone is a good option, demos don't have that. But I find there are a lot more ways of getting a dug in soldier out of a spot (ie 2fort sewers) than a demo. A good demo (exar... that wanker) can kill you dozens of times no matter how good you are. Really that's the only reason my alliances are the way they are. | |

| Exar is the proof that there is a such thing as a perfect Demoman... lol And Soldiers have more health than the Demos...giving them more of an advantage no matter how even the weapons are. And most people who play soldiers just spam the opposite battlements...only reloading after they used up their 4 rockets...Most Soldiers honestly forget they have a shotgun; very few if ever use it...maybe this new update will come with the equivalent of a Sandvich for the Soldier instead of a shotgun- they'd get more use out of it and it would stop the constant, useless yelling the Soldier does BTW, Dr. K...stay off the Demo Side profile haha, you're quoting 10cent (you dont have to stay off lol) | |
