| Not really on topic but....The only place I applied and got a response, was at a coffee shop (Tim Horton's you got one in new-york I think). I applied once, nothing, twice, about 2 months later they call me for an interview, was pretty surprised I believed they just refused me. Then 5 months later they called me for a second interview and gave me the job. I started as an.. handyman? clean the parking, garbage, go to the bank, etc. and eventually got to cook, or how I like to call it, microwave operator. No fixed work schedule, a different one every week, often 5 days, starting either at 4am, or 2 pm.
and congrats for the job, sounds nice enough, and I can almost guarantee you that there will be an annoying worker that most of the crew hates, nearly always is one, but at the same time, everyone else is easier to deal with in comparison, so that hated person is actually helpful.

| Well good luck with that Sartock, let us know how it goes I guess my first job was "Salad Bitch" at a local Italian restaurant. Yeah, that's what they called it, too. The guy who owned/cooked called all the girls Maria and the boys ... hurrrm I can't seem to recall... but something generic. Ahh that was such a fun place to work. Anyhow... not as cool as a six flags job for sure | |

| I just quit. Don't ever...EVER work for the Six Flags Gaming Department, they are all a bunch of idiots. Last weekend I show up to training in jeans and a t-shirt and they send me home for not dressing in buisness casual. I get that, but if the person who told me i could wear jeans and a t-shirt and is the one sending me home for not being dressed appropriately then it should be their fault, yes? Apparently not, and i had to reschedule for this weekend, today to be exact. But back to last weekend, i "got in their face" about how their HR lady told me wrong and it should be their fault, not mine. Keep in mind this is in front of...50 or so people who where there for the training class. I was fed up, so i asked the guy behind the desk in charge of reschedules to just call me; i left my number and walked out. This morning, i wake up at 6am, and go to training that was supposed to be at 7. I get there- dressed in khaki slacks and a nice button up- and start the training, boring stuff like going over the handbook, fun stuff like that. And the idiot teaching the class was the HR lady. I raised my hand and asked "How can you teach this class if you can't even tell people what to wear to the training?" And she proceeded to pull me off to the side and ask a few questions. Here's sorta how our conversation went: HR: What the hell are you doing? Me: It was just a question miss. HR: Don't disturb my class again, I'll have you terminated. Me: Terminated? For what, all i did was ask a question. HR: You are questioning my job, I don't think it's appropriate. Me: Are you the Human Resources person, or the gaming department trainer? HR: Both, why? Me: Then how the hell do you not know what to tell people to wear to this damn class? It's bad enough I had to get up early again to attend this stupid thing, but I had to do it TWICE! HR: Look, just go back into the class and be quiet and I'll have you out of here early. Me: What if I don't want to work for you? HR: I'm sorry? Me: I don't like being disrepectful, but you don't seem to get that it's YOUR fault that i'm here again. And that I have to sit here for 6 hours and listen to you speak about "how much fun i'll be having this summer" because "six flags has more flags" blah blah blah, I'm sick of it; just shut up, i'm going home. So yeah, FUN MORNING! Blah. Don't ever work for them, period. (Thanks for listening to my rant ) | |

| My cousin/s have worked at the nearby Wild Waves/Enchanted Village a lot within the years, and told me it was great. I suppose I'll give it a wing some day, and let you know how it turns out for me.
Hopefully good, so far everyone's said it was fun. Maybe you just got stuck with shit-faced whores?
